Found this guy outside my house. He’s cute, I played around with it a little bit and it kept looking at me and doing that thing with it’s front legs.
Wooo Jumping Spiders!

Why didn't you kill it as soon as you saw it?

If you’re in Australia playing with him would of course be one of the last things you do.

Because it’s a spider not VWVortex #edgy

Because it’s just an animal that’s, erm, living. Killing something in defense if you’re being attacked is just about acceptable, killing for the sake of killing is dumb.

He looks cool. I’ve never seen a jumping spider before.

I only saw it because I dropped my keys, then I was like “Oh shit a spider.” Then the spider looked at me and tilted it’s head and I was like d’awwwww.

They’re really chill. They like to stare at you and move their legs up and down.

I’ve been matched in a battle of wits of a spider in the laundry room. It’s the opposite of cute. It’s big. It’s fast. It has multiple reasons to hunt me while I sleep and lay eggs in my ear.
So far I am 0 for 3.

Those guys are fun to watch.
My workplace has a nice balcony for breaks. One wall in the balcony is exceptionally sunny and warm. Nearly daily couple of jumping spiders can be seen climbing on the wall. Today one had wandered indoors and I helped it to get back out.

It actually kind of pisses me off when people just go around outside killing every spider they see. 1 your not in immediate danger. 2 think about how many annoying ass flies it’s eaten in its life. 3 whether you value it or not you are taking a life. It’s still an animal, it still has a brain.
Okay enough tree hugging outta me for one day.

They’re also cute, hence me not pushing it away.

Indeed, it’s interesting how things that we tend to think of as not having much thinking power, still have personalities of sorts. Makes you wonder how smart they really are.

I’d say that they’re fairly intelligent. I mean, the thing was looking at me dead in the eyes. It didn’t seem threatened by me, it just seemed curious.

I hate that place. No joke.
